Give Blood for Those Who Give Life

“I got feeling like flying in the blue moon after donating blood. Yeah! I did another good deed at least.” Referring to you, what is your reckon to voluntary blood donation?

If it is not now, so when? Life is unforeseen, so your participant will probably recue to those who urgently desperately need your help such as delivering mother, surgical patient and young children who got serious disease.

Hence, on June 14, 2014 known as World Blood Donor Day, National Blood Transfusion Center (NBTC) will held a very big event for regular blood donor and to promote participation in this field. We really need your helping hand and consolidation to decrease the number of death in result of lacking blood support on time; especially unsuccessful mother during delivering baby. And the theme of this year is “Give blood for those who give life.”

On behalf of NBTC, Banung, a public relation officer said, “It is necessary to have blood stored and used in time. It is not for the sake of individual but everyone, nation.

She, with a strength look, continue, “It has been doubt on blood sale. Here, I admit that NBTC has never ever sold even a package of blood or take any benefit from it. Frankly speaking, this case could be happened by private hospital through service charging such as transferring and injecting blood. Or some other case is beyond our control. We try to find better way to deal and prevent it, though.”

Contrary to this, not knowing why for those who still not take any action should start to join in hand since when the blood bank covers full storages, those who is willing to take illegal act will not be allowed.

Here, it is to be certified that everyone can donate blood any time not just on world blood donor day since NBTC is openly welcomed for 24 hours 7 days per week.

Joint-in-hand is for a better you, your family and nation.

Positive Thinking, Don't You?

Different colored pieces reflect tastes of life. (Photo credit to Ms. Ny Sothea)
PHNOM PENH-March 30th, 2014:  “Whenever you fall, pick something up”, Anonymous man said.

Tonight, I felt not good about myself. I found myself utterly bewildering. My brain was dysfunctional, and my heart was broken. It seemed to be the end of the world. Sound like a bad news! Bad news? Good news? Who knows?

In the meantime, I seized a particular yellow covered book to get rid of this unwanted feeling. Great! It taught me something; Something which lighten up my way back to normally optimist. A small piece of something here I want to share with you.

When I saw this sentence, surprisingly I asked myself REALLY? “Positive people are usually happy”, quoted from book. “They often have a lot of friends. When they have a problem, they try to change the problem into an opportunity. They believe things always work out. But can positive thinking really make someone’s life better?”

A moment to remember, a scarce experience occurring around seven years ago flew into my head. Do you want me to reveal now? Let’s go!

Seven years ago, the situation in my family was getting worse. I was not sure to be granted to move further the university because of financial crisis. I’d been working hard on my studying. This even push me harder to reach my first goal. At the end of the year, Bravo! I was granted a full scholarship.

Life isn't that easy or else “Life can be difficult sometimes.” Just don’t give up and be negative. Think about the future, make a plan and take action. Positive thinking can help to reduce stress, alternate deep despair so on and so forth. Trying to learn new things is also a part of being positive.

In the past, scientist thought attitudes never changed. Now, things have been changed. You can ask yourself as I did, “What good things happened to me today?” Or you may find fun activities to do such as watching a fun movie or reading a good book.

Here come to the end. However, just want to check whether you have done with your self-assessment yet?

What If There Is No Civil War In Cambodia

Non-Used Railway in Cambodia

PHNOM PENH-Looking at every single side, you will see the sluggish progress on the development of the country, Cambodia. Why does it look like that if Cambodia used to be a well-rich heritage in Angkor era? Actually, it does come from various reasons. One of those, and important of all, is civil war. Imagine if there is no war but peace, how the country would be shaped.

Without further delay, let’s imagine on the infrastructure. Not much different from her neighborhood, Thailand, Cambodia would have mastered on infrastructure such as railway, waterway, School and so on. If so, travelling across regions, from a province to another province, it would be easier, cost less time and money. Not only have we focused on the human travelling, but also we should consider on goods transferring. How would be easier to have such a good waterway? Unfortunately, civil war causes many troubles. Lacking of both security and accessibility is resulted in low level of goods import and export.
What about human resource in Cambodia? Of course, Cambodia has lost a plenty of human resources who are regarded to be a great machine to develop the Country in Civil war, known as Khmer Rouge regime. Let’s take a look to the neighbor country, Singapore. Singapore is not the great ancient country as far as Cambodia. However, this country promotes education as the first priority and the long vision. Within high level thinking and high capacity of human resource, Singapore’s economy is dramatic growth for decade. Not economic sector but other sector starts from the human resource as the core value. Hence, it is very vital to prioritize this issue.
History creates comparison between the past and present as the tool and mirror for the future, doesn't it? So, Persons has to spend it carefully toward peace and reduce crime of war.
